How to track brand visibility in ChatGPT

chatgptAnonymous≈900M weekly users

Nostimates tracks ChatGPT by scraping the logged-out web interface, which returns citations. We deliberately do not log in: a signed-in session carries memory, personalisation and account history, all of which contaminate the measurement.

What matters on this engine

Identity-free collection is the correct methodology, not a limitation. A number measured through somebody's personalised account is a number nobody else can reproduce.

ChatGPT infers language from the prompt text rather than a header, so locale on this surface means the language you write the prompt in, not a parameter you set.

The blocker here is Cloudflare and browser fingerprinting, not authentication.

Citation structure

Inline link pills and an expandable source list on web-search-backed answers.

Access model

Collected logged-out through residential proxies in your target market. No account, no personalisation, fully reproducible.

Gotcha

Prompt language is the locale control. Send the Japanese prompt to measure Japan.
